How 2b 10 hp

Training all the other Skills

Home | Magic | Other Skills | Clan

Several other skills you may wish to raise as a 10hp pure are attack, defence, strength, ranged and prayer.  For most of these you are going to need to rely on lamps to raise. There are a limited number of ways, other than random events, for doing this that you should take advantage of.

But before that, let's look at the stats you won't need any lamps for.

Attack

This one is pretty simple. Use the dummies in Varrock until you hit level 8 Attack. From there, it's off to do the Vampire Slayer quest. Hopefully you have a decent enough Magic level by now to kill the vampire. You will get some Hit Points exp, but not enough to level. Just try to get it right the first time to minimize the amount of Hit Points exp you gain. Completing this quest will give you 4k Attack exp.  This is enough to get you 20 Attack, quite handy for wielding mithril axes and picks.

Prayer

There's obviously no easy way of doing this.  Do the The Restless Ghost quest for the prayer exp, and then run around the Lumbridge countryside picking up goblin, chicken, and cow bones until you can't take it anymore. From there you'll have to buy the bones if you want it to go any faster. Rather expensive.  If you're patient, buy regular bones to save money. 43 Prayer is always a nice addition to a 10hp pure.

Lamps

Now the lamps, which are needed to raise Defence, Ranged, and Strength (And attack, past level 20). I really don't recommend raising Strength, as it's rather useless, but it's an individual choice. Defence is nice to have raised so that you can wear black (g), mithril armor, or even adamant or rune. 20 Ranged is also impressive on a F2p 10hp pure, as along with 20 Defence, it will allow you to wear Studded (g) leathers.

1. Right off of Tutorial Island, find a nearby building in lumbridge and go down the ladder.  You will find a white knight who will talk about a dragon. Speak with him for a bit and you will aquire 2 lamps that give 250 exp each.

2. Head to the Stronghold of Player Safety, between Edgeville and Barbarian Village.  Take the quiz in the school building, and you will earn 2 lamps giving 500 exp each. (I also recommend you explore the Stonghold itself to get the 10k prize.  Always handy when beginning a new account.)

3. Achievement Diaries.  There are 3 F2p parts to the diary: beginner, easy, and medium. Along with the explorer's ring, which is quite useful by itself,  each section gives a lamp worth 500 exp, 1000 exp, and 1500 exp respectively. These are about the biggest boost you can get. You will have to kill some things for the diaries, so be careful not to level your Hit Points. One of the things you must kill is a level 6 rat, which isn't a big deal, but another is a skeleton in the dungeons under Draynor. One option is to have another account weaken the skeleton before you kill it, so that you will receive less Hit Points exp. However, make sure that the other account does not weaken more than half way, or your 10hp pure account will not get credit for the kill.  This precaution is not necessary, but is an option none-the-less.

In order to complete the medium level Achievement Diary, you will also need to have completed the majority of the quests.  One task is to obtain an anit-dragon breath shield from the Duke of Lumbridge, which can only be done once you have begun the Dragon Slayer Quest by talking to the guild master in the Champion's Guild, which you need 33 quest points to enter. You may need to kill additional foes to complete the quests.

4. Jobs.  Many of the skill tutors and other characters in and around Lumbridge can give you jobs to do for a bit of cash. After doing 15 of these jobs, you will also get an xp lamp.  These begin around 250xp and increase as you get more and more. You can get a lamp for every set of 15 jobs you do, so you can really get an unlimited amount. This is crucial if you plan on making a Defence pure with 10hp, 40 Defence.

The easiest person to do jobs for is the crafting tutor on the second floor of lumbridge castle, by the spinning wheel. He's positioned conveniently and gives easy tasks. I suggest you keep some or all of the following items handy in your bank for doing the crafting tutor's jobs (numbers on the right indicate the possible quantities you will be asked to provide):

  • ashes (22-26)
  • logs (22-26)
  • oak logs (22-26)
  • willow logs (22-26)
  • copper ore (22-26)
  • tin ore (22-26)
  • iron ore (22-26)
  • steel warhammers (9-10)
  • steel battle-axes (9-10)
  • hardleather bodies (22-26)
  • leather chaps (22-26)
  • holy symbols(unstrung) (22-26)

If you are asked for gold ore, silver ore, coal, gold bars, or anything not listed above, I suggest you "ask for an easier task". You may have to go get items not on my list, but it will save you money, since your pay is based on the item's minimum price on the grand exchange.

You can only do 6 jobs every hour!!!  And that does not include time that you are logged off. One hour of playing-time.  Keep a rough mental note of what time you complete your 6th task and how long you've played since, so that you can be as efficient as possible.

5. Keep an eye out for special holiday events and quests. Quite often a lamp or some other exp-giving reward is included.

6. Finally, you have random events. With the new system, there isn't really away to increase your chance of getting one of these. Just make sure to always choose the lamp if it's an option.
